Nob Hill Neighborhood Association

Tree Canopy Restoration Committee

Nob Hill Neighborhood Association was recently awarded a coveted Neighborwoods grant of 100 trees for delivery Spring 2022. The trees are normally around 2 years old and 4-5 ft. tall. Sponsored by the City of Albuquerque (Thanks, Councilor Davis!) and NM Tree (Thanks, Shannon Horst!) the competitive grant application process assesses a neighborhood’s demonstrated commitment to organizing, planting, and caring for trees.

This is the first time in the program’s history that Nob Hill has won this grant.  Our Tree Canopy Restoration Committee led the grant application process and will meet on September 23th at 6:00 pm by Zoom to begin planning outreach and planting . All are welcome! Contact pamela@dakotatreeproject.org with ideas and questions on tree canopy restoration and to receive the link 48 hours before the meeting. Hope to see you there!

Steve recently moved to Hermosa NE and planted this Chinese Pistache. It’s on the ABCWUA tree list and he plans to seek the tree rebate. Welcome, Steve! Thanks for helping make Nob Hill even better!
