On Saturday, May 16, in partnership with the Nob Hill Neighborhood Association, our Spring Architecture Walk will take place.
We will meet at 10 am on Wellesley Drive in front of the iconic 1936 Jones Motor Company (now Kelly’s Brew Pub ).
After exploring that wonderful building we will move on to the 1935 Monte Vista Fire Station and the 1938 Lobo Theater enjoying the well-preserved retail blocks along the way.
Then we will proceed into the earliest residential portion of Nob Hill, University Heights. Col. D.K.B. Sellers and A.B. McMillen platted this area in 1916, an event that will be widely celebrated throughout 2016 when Nob Hill turns 100.
An interactive discussion style is planned so we can address what interests you, including how to maintain or remodel your house in a way that preserves its historic character.
Signups are limited so all can hear and interact. Make reservations here or call 991-1388.
If you have a house in the area that retains much of its historic character and would be willing to provide your yard for a reception at the end of a walk please let us know here on the website or at 991-1388.
